The Parent Advisory Committee is made up of parents from across LAUSD. This committee raises parent’s voices by allowing them to participate in the review process for LAUSD’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). An ideal candidate is a parent who has exhibited leadership capabilities in the past and has shown a deep commitment to their respective school.
If appointed, the PAC Representative is required to attend monthly PAC meetings either in person in Downtown Los Angeles or virtually via Zoom (appointee’s choice). The PAC Representative’s term will last approximately one year, beginning in September 2024 and ending in October 2025. The PAC Representative must have at least one child attending a district school within Board District 6.
When driving to schools for dropoff / pickup, be patient and courteous in your school neighborhood. You are responsible for their safety, and for the safety of all other students.
